Inside Sales Engineer Service Parts (Nijmegen)
Alfa Laval Nijmegen BV develops, sells and produces equipment for the maritime industry. Alfa Laval Nijmegen BV is the global market leader for Inert Gas Systems (IGS) and Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (EGC). Our customers are ship owners and yards worldwide.
To reduce pollution, from the 1st of January 2020 new environmental regulation comes into force. This regulation requires all ships to use fuels with a maximum Sulphur content of 0,5% or to use an Exhaust Gas Cleaning System to reduce their Sulphur emission. It’s a fast-growing business.
About the job
You are responsible for the correct and timely execution and handling of quotations and orders for spare parts and for maintaining further development and growth of the spare parts service program.
- Translate customer specifications and expectations into quotations
- Prepare and draw up quotations of spare parts
- Has contact with various internal departments (Purchasing, Engineering, Logistics), and external parties as (sub-) suppliers, Alfa Laval Sales Offices and customers and prospects
- Coordinate and being responsible for the delivery of spare parts to customers (agents, Alfa Laval sales offices, ship owners and yards)
- Maintain and develop accurate records of all prospecting activities and closed sales
- Maintain communication with responsible sales support manager and sales support engineer about commercial feedback from customers, price issues, discount, delivery time
- Process nonstandard orders based on a Service Order Report
- Set up customer profile and calculation of customer value
Prepare spare parts (lists)
Who you are
Technical degree on MBO or HBO level
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Basic knowledge on products and of QA/QC systems
