Administrative Assistant Project Management Office (Nijmegen)

Alfa Laval Nijmegen BV develops, sells and produces equipment for the maritime industry. Alfa Laval Nijmegen BV is the global market leader for Inert Gas Systems and Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems. Our customers are ship owners and yards worldwide.

To reduce pollution, from the 1st of January 2020 new environmental regulation comes into force. This regulation requires all ships to use fuels with a maximum Sulphur content of 0,5% or to use an Exhaust Gas Cleaning System to reduce their Sulphur emission. It’s a fast-growing business.

About the Job
The main purpose of the job is to support the Project Managers at the Engineering department.

Tooling / Project Management Office:

• Maintain Excel tools / project reports;
• Preparation of pre- vs. final cost calculation;
• Update and automate templates (e.g. via macro’s);
• Update and write working instructions;
• Create bi-monthly memos (e.g. release of new working instructions).

Support Project Managers:

• Complete administrative work in case of large project series;
• Collect engineering change data;
• Create financial reports;
• Administrate projects claims;
• Prepare site support and commissioning documents.

Who you are

• MBO/HBO starter level (economics/business with technical affinity);
• Fluent in Dutch and English;
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (macro’s), Word (macro’s) and Outlook skills;
• Team player;
• Proactive / assertive work attitude ;
• Takes leadership.
